Smart Screens – Smart Screen add-ons enhance and extend the functionality and capability of your Lytec or Medisoft. Smart Screens give you the ability to easily process specialized claims in Lytec or Medisoft. Because these smart screens work with Claim Manager to build your claims, data entry is minimized since we calculate many items other solutions make you enter manually!
- General Purpose UB-04 – (Medisoft Net Pro Only); Custom screen, printed claim format, and Claim Manager query sets to accommodate all types of UB-04 based billing. Custom screen allows manual data entry of all fields found on the printed form. These fields are mapped appropriately to the electronic file by Claim Manager.
- Rehab UB-04 – (Medisoft Net Pro); Specially designed custom screen, printed claim format, and Claim Manager implementation guide to process claims for part A Rehab (PT, OT, ST, Pulmonary Rehab) providers. Custom screen accommodates additional diagnosis codes, condition codes, values and occurrences used in Rehab billing. Custom screen has fewer fields than general UB, and the mapping process to the electronic file calculates many value and occurrence codes without user intervention or extra data entry.
- Durable Medical Equipment with CMN’s – (Medisoft Net Pro Only); Custom screens for each of the Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN) required for certain DME Billing. These screens allow data entry of the information required to electronically submit the claims and CMN data. This Smart Scren includes 2 hours of additional training to ensure that the provider uses the procedures and processes to correctly bill for Durable Medical Equipment. The DME Smart Screen is approved for use with all DME Regional Carriers (DMERC) Medicare Administrative Carriers (MAC) and CEDI

If the provider bills Medicare for any of the equipment types in the list above, the DME Smart Scren is required. If the provider only bills for items not in this list, such as orthotic devices, prosthetic devices, and diabetic shoes then the DME Smart Screen is not required.
- Rural Health – Data entry customizations and Claim Manager implementation guide to accommodate billing for Rural Health services and processing those services electronically. ludes guidelines to facilitate proper billing practices and data collection for cost reports.
- Medicaid Special Programs – (Medisoft Net Pro Only); Data entry customizations and Claim Manager query sets to bill for Medicaid in various states. Covered programs include mental health, kidmed, respite care and more. Most Medicaid programs require specific authorization codes and other information to be included with the billings, often in a special segment of the electronic claim file. This Smart Screen accommodates a single set of these requirements. If for example, kidmed and mental health are both required then two Smart Screens are required to bill for both of them.
